JOB DESCRIPTION
Harlem Pride is seeking an organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Booth Manager. The Booth Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination of vendor logistics and booth assignments for our annual Harlem Pride 2026 Celebration Day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Booth Layout and Coordination:

  • Tweak and optimize the current booth layout to ensure an efficient and organized event flow.
  • Assign vendors and organizations to their designated locations on the event map for Celebration Day.
  • Handle vendor logistics, ensuring all participants have the necessary information and support.

Event Planning and Meetings:

  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings as needed to coordinate efforts leading up to Harlem Pride 2026 events.
  • Be available for in-person meetings at least three times within the two weeks leading up to Celebration Day.
  • Attend all Harlem Pride 2025 events and assist in managing day-of-event operations.

Volunteer and Team Management:

  • Take charge and lead a team of volunteers responsible for assisting vendors and organizations with their location assignments on Celebration Day.
  • Ensure volunteers are well-organized and briefed on their duties to maintain a smooth and successful event experience.

Celebration Day Management:

  • On Celebration Day, be the primary point of contact for vendors and volunteers regarding booth locations and logistical support.
  • Oversee the execution of the event layout, resolving any on-site issues that may arise to ensure a positive and seamless experience for all participants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and lead a group of volunteers effectively.
  • Comfortable taking charge and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks during high-energy events.
  • Experience with event planning, logistics, or vendor management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of staff, community members and stakeholders.
  • Must be available for in-person meetings at least three times within two weeks prior to Harlem Pride Celebration Day and able to attend all Harlem Pride 2026 events.
  • Passion for LGBTQ issues and supporting the community.

COMPENSATION

  • $20/hour
  • 25 hours/month
  • $500/month
  • April 1st – July 16th

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Social Media Manager is responsible for shaping Harlem Pride’s visual digital storytelling and community-facing content. This role ensures Harlem Pride’s visuals—across graphics, videos, and multimedia—are vibrant, engaging, and aligned with the organization’s voice, values, and identity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Visual Content Creation

  • Design graphics, reels, and multimedia assets for Harlem Pride events, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Curate and edit visual content that highlights Harlem Pride’s community impact.
  • Capture and/or source high-quality visuals for digital use (photos, videos, graphics).

Content Planning & Calendar Management

  • Collaboratively develop and maintain a monthly content calendar with the Digital Engagement Coordinator.
  • Ensure visuals are ready and aligned with campaign timelines, cultural moments, and Harlem Pride milestones.
  • Adapt designs for cross-platform use (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, etc.).

Community Engagement Through Storytelling

  • Write engaging captions that reflect Harlem Pride’s voice and resonate with the community.
  • Utilize culturally relevant language, humor, and tone to deepen connection with Harlem Pride’s audience.
  • Showcase diverse community voices through creative storytelling methods.

Analytics & Performance

  • Track engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, saves) for visual content.
  • Provide monthly reports with insights on what’s resonating visually with the community.
  • Recommend creative adjustments to increase reach and impact.

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Partner closely with the Digital Engagement Coordinator – Communications & Strategy to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.
  • Work with other team members to visually represent events, programs, and organizational updates.
  • Contribute to post-event visual recaps and highlight reels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work within timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in navigating social media networks and capturing, editing, formatting and uploading video and photo content.
