    Our Annual Trans* Appreciation Reception was held at Bierstrasse, celebrating and honoring our Trans* community members, allies and organizations who make extraordinary contributions to Harlem’s SGL/LGBT community.

    We gathered at Maysles Cinema for a screening of Kiki Ballroom, followed by a Q&A and reception. The event was sponsored by Columbia University Medical Center HIV Prevention & Treatment Center.

    The Schomburg Center presented its annual LGBT Pride Edition of First Fridays.

    Harlem Pride kicked of the 15th Annual ImageNation Outdoors: Soul Cinema & Music Under the Stars Festival with a screening 2017 Oscar Winner Moonlight, followed by music with DJ Michael Forde.

    4th Annual Circle of Life Celebration and Pride Memorial

    Tuesday, June 20

    Harlem-based LGBT Organizations came together to commemorate the lives and work of African descendant-LGBTQA/SGL youth, elders, and allies. This celebration addressed the denial of inclusion and honor that is frequently associated with the marginalization of race, class, and gender divides by highlighting how these lives have enriched us individually and collectively.

    Family Day Event: Drag Queen Story Hour

    The Studio Museum of Harlem and The Harlem Arts Festival co-sponsored a family-friendly event with Harmonica Sunbeam reading aloud at Marcus Garvey Park.
