We gathered at Aloft Hotel Harlem for our first annual event celebrating our Trans* community, because all-to-often they are left behind. The evening was filled with complimentary food and beverage, networking, and performances.
Circle of Life Celebration
Harlem-based LGBT Organizations came together for a service at Union Theological Center to commemorate the lives and work of African descendant-LGBTQA/SGL youth, elders, and allies.
Dolares de Arena Screening
The Dominican Film Festical LGBT co-sponsored the screening of Dolares de Arena in Columbia University’s Alumni Auditorium.
Inivisible Life: The Musical
Harlem Pride members attended the sold out showing of an explosive musical adaptation addressing the conflicts of sexuality, religion, HIV/AIDS and family in America, based on New York Times best-selling author E. Lynn Harris’ classic love story.
Pride Ride: Rockin’ the Rivers
We boarded Circle Line Cruises for the Official Harlem Pride Launch Event, presented by Rivers of Living Water. DJ’s Missy B and Stormin Norman kept the music going all night.
Jackie Robinson Park was packed with celebratory crowds enjoying live entertainment, community tables and food vendors.
NYC Heritage of Pride March
Harlem Pride was well-represented at the annual NYC Pride Month march.
Festivities came to a close at Cove Lounge during our closing event with DJ Lynda Carter from Detroit playing the night away.
